Responsibilities

  • Calculate, audit, and input above and below the line payroll according to client, employee, union, state, and federal requirements.
  • Process payroll accurately and timely, maintaining clear communication with clients regarding expectations.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive production files, including electronic filing of project documents.
  • Understand and adhere to state, federal, and workers' compensation statutory requirements.
  • Comply with EP policies and procedures.
  • Seek assistance when needed and escalate potential issues to management.
  • Manage voicemail and out-of-office notifications.
  • Maintain employee accountability through accuracy, turnaround time, and client service.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge of entertainment contracts, payroll contracts, and EP policies.
  • Provide employee earnings analysis and generate various reports.
  • Contact clients for assigned or reassigned shows.
  • Ensure clear handoff instructions to backup personnel and communicate backup information to clients.
  • Initiate client contact and communicate daily coverage.
  • Maintain up-to-date project information in Salesforce, including payroll schedules and projected timecards.
  • Ensure weekly adjustments are completed by week's end, escalating issues as necessary, and communicating adjustments to clients.
  • Assist the team and COE as needed and monitor team emails for coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with document retention processes, such as I-9s.
  • Submit HTG rules as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of industry payroll experience.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
  • Proficiency with a 10-key and computer keyboard.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts.
  • Self-starter with flexibility.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism with customers and co-workers in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
