About the Role

The Head of Marketing Operations builds and scales the operational infrastructure for the marketing team, managing the marketing tech stack, data model, lead lifecycle, and analytics to create a predictable pipeline engine. This AI-first role involves building systems and deploying AI-powered workflows to enable a lean marketing team to operate at massive scale. The ideal candidate is rigorous, opinionated about tooling, and energized by operational challenges, thinking about marketing with an operator's mindset focused on cadence, accountability, resource allocation, and measurement. This role serves as the connective tissue between Marketing, Sales, and RevOps.

Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing tech stack end to end: selection, implementation, integration, and data flow standards.
  • Design and deploy AI-powered workflows to automate high-frequency tasks and evangelize AI adoption.
  • Own the full lead lifecycle from anonymous visitor through closed-won, including lead scoring, MQL/PQL definitions, SLA enforcement, routing, enrichment, nurture, and sales handoff.
  • Own marketing analytics, attribution methodology, and leadership dashboards, including pipeline attribution, channel ROI, and performance reviews.
  • Drive the marketing team's operating rhythm, including quarterly planning, goal tracking, business reviews, budget, and vendor management.
  • Own data hygiene, privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA), email deliverability, and the data governance model.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in marketing operations, with significant experience at a high-growth B2B startup.
  • Experience building marketing operations from scratch or replatforming, preferably at a developer-first or PLG company.
  • Proven AI builder mindset with experience shipping automations and internal tools using LLMs and workflow platforms.
  • Track record of owning attribution methodology, lead scoring, routing, and data quality at scale.
  • Experience running planning cadences, budget, and vendor management.
  • Impeccable analytical and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure, strong opinions held loosely.
