About the Role
BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a dedicated individual to operate a forklift, transport merchandise, and assist with various warehouse and sales floor operations to ensure a positive member experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Inspect forklifts prior to use and follow safety standards.
- Load and unload merchandise and materials from delivery trucks.
- Receive all merchandise and materials delivered to the club accurately.
- Lift, reserve, and drop pallets of merchandise.
- Prepare pallets for safe reserving by wrapping, strapping, stacking, and labeling.
- Transport merchandise, materials, and pallets safely throughout the club.
- Utilize a pallet jack as needed.
- Stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and food merchandise.
- Handle damaged and spoiled merchandise according to company policies.
- Ensure the club is neat, clean, and organized.
- Perform general maintenance duties, including trash and cardboard removal.
- Participate in daily club openings and closings.
- Return merchandise back to the sales floor.
- Greet all members and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
- Assist members in locating merchandise.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned and work in other departments as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
