About the Role
The Produce Team Member is responsible for sorting, displaying, and replenishing fresh produce while maintaining department standards. This role focuses on delivering excellent member service, ensuring product quality, and upholding a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to members by answering questions, recommending products, and offering safe handling tips
- Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery to ensure quality standards
- Maintain full, neat, and clean produce displays on the sales floor
- Remove products that are no longer suitable for sale
- Manage the produce reserve stock area by dating, rotating, and organizing items
- Dispose of damaged, spoiled, or expired products according to guidelines
- Assist the Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing
- Clean and sanitize produce equipment, display fixtures, and refrigerated areas
- Generate signage and perform price checks to ensure accurate pricing
- Maintain club policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned across other departments
- Maintain regular, predictable, and full attendance
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to move frequently on hard surfaces
- Ability to bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, and stoop
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift and move heavy or awkward objects over 30 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work in environments with temperature extremes from freezers and coolers
