About the Role

The Women's Center provides a safe and supportive environment for San Francisco State University students, combating misogyny and patriarchy while promoting gender equity. This role supports the Director and Assistant Director in daily operations, serving as an information resource, assisting with events, and managing administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides support and referrals regarding woman/female identifying products, issues, and themes.
• Maintains inventory of office supplies and feminine products, ensuring stock availability.
• Executes delegated tasks and projects, providing staff support for conferences, workshops, and seminars.
• Composes and types emails, reports, meeting minutes, and other office correspondence.
• Supports scheduling and organizing tabling/outreach events.
• Maintains library inventory and office supplies.
• Manages program referral lists and schedules appointments for students seeking referrals.
• Serves as a general information resource for WC activities.
• Greets new students, answers phones, and makes appointments.

Requirements

• Must be a student at San Francisco State University enrolled in at least 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates.
• Previous volunteer experience at the Women's Center is a plus.
• Administrative office experience.
• Experience overseeing volunteers is a plus.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong experience using Google programs (calendar, forms, sheets, Gmail).
• Knowledge of social justice issues affecting the campus community.
• Understanding of systemic oppression and its connection to misogyny.
• Excellent communication skills with program service constituents.
