About the Role
As a Senior Manager within Defence Consulting, you will lead large-scale transformation programmes for Defence, Space, and aerospace clients. You will work with client leaders to deliver tangible frontline benefits and enable wider enterprise transformation, focusing on organizational transformation, digital enablement, productivity, efficiency, and new capability delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage client projects, structure work schedules, and drive assignments to successful conclusions.
- Manage the design and delivery of large-scale Defence transformation programmes, from mobilization and business case through deployment, go-live, and post-implementation optimization.
- Lead operating model, care pathway, and workforce transformation with a focus on improving frontline productivity, safety, and user adoption.
- Contribute to the development of the Defence digital transformation market by identifying opportunities, shaping propositions, and supporting bids.
- Help grow multi-specialism Enterprise Transformation and Defence teams by developing tools, methods, and assets for successful delivery and adoption.
- Lead engagement economics, governance, risk and issue management, and delivery assurance across complex programmes.
- Own senior stakeholder relationships across Defence leadership, teams, and alliance partners, building trusted advisor relationships.
Requirements
- Experienced transformation leader with experience working with the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces, the Aerospace and Defence industry, and/or comparable industries.
- Experience scoping and leading large-scale transformation programmes with a strong focus on transformation, optimization, and benefits realization.
- Excellent client handling skills with experience of leading projects and/or large-scale strategy and operations change programmes.
- Already security cleared, or capable of being cleared.
- Experience of operating model design and implementation, transformation programme management, change and adoption management, or large-scale engagements.
- Comfortable developing requirements across process, people, organisation, technology, and data.
- Articulate how transformation can enable wider Defence productivity and transformation goals.
- Ability to travel to client site across the UK (60% of time spent on client site).
