About the Role

As a Security Guard Armed Perimeter Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with shoppers and staff, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees at a retail grocery location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Maintain an armed presence in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and report security-related concerns through established communication channels.

Requirements

Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
