About the Role

As a Security Officer Armed Rapid Response Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. This driving role offers the opportunity to support a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, exterior entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and help control entry and exit of employees, vendors, delivery personnel, and visitors in accordance with site requirements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
