About the Role

The Operations Director leads data and technology initiatives, focusing on efficient execution, operational reliability, and strategic alignment. This role involves overseeing enterprise systems, SDLC, BAU operations, and modern data platforms, with a strong emphasis on Databricks and large-scale data processing. You will drive high-impact programs to enhance platform reliability, scalability, and business alignment, interacting with senior stakeholders and shaping critical data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership across data transformation programs and Databricks-driven workflows.
  • Oversee performance of data platforms and pipelines, ensuring reliability, scalability, and service quality.
  • Drive adoption and optimization of data lake technologies and enterprise data platforms.
  • Lead teams supporting large-scale structured and unstructured data environments.
  • Partner with engineering, data, and business teams to design and deliver robust data solutions.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, expectations, and escalations across cross-functional teams.
  • Provide reporting to senior leadership on performance, risks, and delivery outcomes.
  • Govern delivery execution across Agile and Waterfall projects.
  • Support operational planning, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience working with enterprise information systems within SDLC and BAU environments.
  • 5–7 years of experience working with large-scale big data environments (structured and unstructured).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks in data processing and analytics environments.
  • Familiarity with modern data architecture and data lake technologies (e.g., lakehouse, ingestion, transformation).
  • Proven experience managing clients and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
  • Strong organizational, operational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
