About the Role
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for processing soiled linens and distributing clean linens to ensure a consistent supply for hotel operations. This role involves operating laundry equipment, maintaining workspace cleanliness, and ensuring all linens meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and courteous service.
- Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers.
- Operate washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Store folded linen and terry cloth in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
- Report equipment malfunctions, damaged linens, or supply needs to management.
- Follow hotel safety standards and use approved chemicals.
- Perform routine laundry tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Ability to operate industrial laundry equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
