About the Role
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful, and financial results for Visa’s network clients. The Consulting Practice within VCA assists clients with key business priorities, drives growth, and improves profitability by applying deep expertise in the banking, payments, and analytics industry. The VCA team is looking for a Director to join our Digital Partner & Fintech segment to develop high-impact projects for Visa’s clients in the North America region. This leader will be responsible for selling consulting engagements, as well as delivering and implementing projects and solutions with big tech and fintech clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage a sales pipeline and sell consulting work to deliver against client targets.
- Build strong client relationships to ensure awareness of offerings and advocacy for work.
- Proactively engage in strategic and planning discussions with internal teams.
- Lead consulting initiatives and provide strategic insight and direction.
- Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance and drive growth.
- Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, best practice documents, and consulting frameworks.
- Partner with peers across functional areas and global regional teams to execute projects.
- Manage systems for pricing approvals, internal routing, legal/funding approvals, and revenue recognition.
- Manage and lead a team of employees, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment through coaching and feedback.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD.
- 5+ years of relevant experience at a large management consulting firm or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of payments dynamics and co-brand economics.
- Deep knowledge of big tech and fintech business dynamics and revenue drivers.
- Track record of managing external partnerships or client relationships.
- Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance with a significant focus on impacting ROI.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented individual capable of handling numerous projects concurrently.
- Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives, and card issuing and acquiring.
- Excellent communication, story-telling, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing individuals and consulting teams.
- Technology oriented, curious, and up-to-date with payment and industry trends and applications.
