About the Role

The Director of Capital Markets will be an integral part of the finance function, responsible for ensuring the company has the necessary funding for rapid growth in a capital-intensive industry. This role involves structuring debt financing, liability management, compliance, and reporting, with significant cross-functional interaction and partnership with internal teams and external financing partners.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Treasurer and partner with Blue Owl on all financing activities.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Treasurer in formulating and managing capital markets strategy.
  • Continuously improve processes and governance around the capital markets function.
  • Meet with banks, investors, and rating agencies to support financing objectives.
  • Prepare information memorandums and other investor presentations.
  • Prepare materials for senior leadership and the Board of Directors regarding capital markets initiatives.
  • Manage all workstreams related to financial structuring and closing, ensuring timelines are met.
  • Negotiate financing documentation and provide structural recommendations for improving financing terms.
  • Provide capital markets coverage for financial forecasting and management reporting.
  • Manage lender due diligence and KYC.
  • Manage data related to deal activity.
  • Work with accounting and finance organizations to facilitate timely financial and covenant compliance reporting to lenders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in debt capital markets.
  • Experience with construction loans, syndicated credit facilities, project finance, and/or asset-backed securitization.
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow clear directions and meet specific deadlines with reporting, communication, and project schedules.
  • An inquisitive mind, natural curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background screening.
