About the Role
The Sales Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Canadian sales organization by providing administrative, analytical, and operational support to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies and customer initiatives. This role acts as a key liaison between Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Retail customers, helping drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the sales team and Sales Leadership
- Prepare customer presentations, business reviews, sales reports, and internal communications
- Manage customer documentation, contracts, promotional agreements, and sales records
- Support customer onboarding, item listings, and new product launches
- Coordinate sales meetings, customer meetings, and internal planning sessions
- Assist with the setup, tracking, and reconciliation of customer promotions and trade spending
- Maintain pricing files and customer-specific pricing agreements
- Monitor promotional performance and support post-event analysis
- Ensure promotional documentation complies with internal approval processes
- Generate regular sales reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Analyze sales trends, market performance, and customer KPIs
- Support forecasting and demand planning initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- 2+ years of experience in Sales Support, Sales Administration, Customer Service, Sales Operations, or related roles
- Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Retail, Food & Beverage, or Consumer Health industries preferred
- Experience supporting major Canadian retailers (e.g., Loblaw, Sobeys, Metro, Walmart, Costco) is an asset
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
- Experience with syndicated data platforms (NielsenIQ, Circana) is an asset
- Knowledge of Power BI is preferred
- Optimism and resilience
- Bilingual: English/French is preferred
