About the Role

Join the Growth & Lifecycle team as a Full Stack Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave. You will focus on our Kotlin Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) and its React frontend, building and shipping automation for personalized, dynamic landing pages that convert marketing traffic into active members. You will own features end-to-end, working with senior engineers who will support your growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain features across Kotlin Backend-for-Frontend and React frontend, delivering working, testable, maintainable code to production in small, safe iterations.
Contribute to both backend composition logic and frontend experience of automated, personalized landing pages.
Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and designers to transform requirements into shipped user experiences.
Implement personalization, targeting, and A/B testing features for landing pages.
Deploy and operate services in a cloud-first environment (AWS).
Participate in code and design reviews, share learnings, and expand technical skills.

Requirements

Around 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience building backend services (ideally in Kotlin, or in Java/another JVM language with a strong interest in Kotlin).
Experience building modern frontends with React.
Hands-on experience with React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem (ES6, bundlers like Webpack/Vite, CSS or preprocessors like LESS/SASS).
Ability to write readable, maintainable, well-tested code and ship it in reviewable increments.
Comfort working within and improving existing codebases.
Some exposure to, or willingness to learn, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
Clear communication with technical and non-technical teammates.
Proactive in asking questions and a focus on user impact.
