About the Role
The Home Center Manager role involves sales leadership, guiding the sales team, reporting sales metrics, coaching team members, and collaborating with other managers to implement best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the hiring, training, and supervision of the sales staff.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales quotas.
- Manage community inventory, including ordering new homes and coordinating with retailers, to assure margins and sales price.
- Ensure completion and signing of all lending documents for each deal.
- Oversee installation and reconditioning of homes.
- Review, approve, and submit all invoices in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Provide meticulous attention to detail throughout the sales process, from initial visit to closing.
- Manage the flow of paperwork from sales to corporate office, factories, staff and customers.
- Monitor the installation, refurbishing and finishing of homes.
- Oversee models and assure they are in marketable condition.
- Manage Lasso to effectively follow-up leads and prospects.
- Foster positive relationships with current residents to encourage referrals.
- Maintain updated websites with current homes and prices.
- Implement a comprehensive 30/60-day training program for new sales associates.
- Promote value of homes and Community.
- List homes for sale by owners and devise creative advertising strategies.
- Prioritize customer satisfaction above all else.
- Complete special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Strong Leadership: Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and lead sales teams to manage sales pipelines successfully.
- Sales Expertise: Track record of personal sales success with knowledge in manufactured community housing preferred.
- Previous Sales Experience: Background in sales, retail, or leasing.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication abilities.
- Organizational Proficiency: Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Professional Demeanor: Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Constantly sit, talk, or hear; Frequently use hands.
- Manual dexterity for handling paperwork and using office equipment.
- Clear vision and hearing for reviewing documents and communicating effectively.
- Capability to lift up to 10 pounds.
