About the Role

The New York Foundling supports children and families navigating foster care, families struggling with conflict and poverty, individuals with developmental disabilities, and access to quality health and mental health services. This role involves managing a caseload, providing direct clinical treatment, conducting assessments, and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned caseload and provide coverage for peer's caseload as needed.
• Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with assigned model.
• Conduct assessments including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses and individualized treatment planning.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the assigned model.
• Participate in all model training, supervision, consultation activities, and staff meetings.
• Build relationships with community stakeholders (i.e., child protection services, Guardians ad Litem, judges, schools, etc.) to ensure cooperation among service providers.
• Manage extensive documentation requirements to successfully comply with various mandates from agency, ACS, and other stakeholders, including model.
• Timely documentation of contacts and case progress in the provided agency electronic health records and other systems as applicable.
• Adopt a strength-focused approach with families, stakeholders, and within the program/treatment team.
• Accompany families/clients to psychiatric appointments and other community needs appointments.
• Attend weekly supervision and consultation and on-call meetings.
• Manage extensive travel requirements.
• Provide 24/7 coverage during the week and participate on a weekend on-call rotational schedule as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Engage with support departments to ensure appropriate and timely hiring, performance management, investigation, discipline, suspension, and restructuring decisions concerning direct reports.
• Provide regular supervision and performance evaluation of direct reports.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related subject area.
• Master’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution.

• $67,632.38 /year + $3,000 MST-PRV Additive + $3,500 - Bilingual Additive (as applicable) + $1,000 – Provisional Licensure Additive (as applicable) + $4,000 – Full Licensure Additive (as applicable)
