About the Role
Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial, and general office duties, responding to inquiries and interacting with the public and university personnel to resolve issues. Compose correspondence, manage databases and spreadsheets, monitor budgets, and prioritize office activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform clerical, secretarial, and general office duties.
- Respond to inquiries with comprehensive knowledge of department activities, policies, and programs.
- Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel to resolve issues.
- Customize and compose letters and correspondence.
- Perform general word processing duties.
- Modify and create databases and complex spreadsheets utilizing intermediate- to advanced-level functions.
- Monitor complex budgets and/or grants.
- Prioritize office activities and delegate to and monitor work of student employees.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of office experience.
- Experience providing a high level of customer service.
- Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding.
- Good proofreading and writing skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
