About the Role

The Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of engineer-to-order manufacturing projects and associated contracts. This role partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with customer specifications and company standards, while meeting profitability objectives. Participation in the Culture Index Survey is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Sales, Engineering, and Operations in defining project scope and objectives, ensuring stakeholder alignment and technical feasibility.
  • Support the execution of engineer-to-order manufacturing projects from release through completion.
  • Serve as a secondary post-order point of contact for customers and sales representatives.
  • Report project status to internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Identify potential project risks and assist in developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Support efforts to control deviations from estimated costs and project timelines.
  • Assist Manufacturing, Planning, and Scheduling in monitoring and expediting job orders across departments and subcontractors to support on-time delivery.
  • Assist with contract administration on a contract-by-contract basis to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate customer-driven contract modifications with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Manufacturing to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
  • Support Sales with evaluating selling value and lead-time adjustments when required.
  • Communicate directly with customer Project Managers and Expeditors.
  • Support Quality in maintaining accurate and up-to-date project records, including engineering changes, customer revisions, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with the creation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and customer manufacturing schedules.
  • Support final document generation required for shipment release.
  • Assist the Project Manager in maintaining relationships with subcontractors, identifying issues, and executing corrective action plans.
  • Support high-volume aftermarket orders, including gaskets and gasket cutter products.
  • Assist with small market orders from release through execution.
  • Conduct customer or supplier site visits as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial sales, project management, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, assembly, testing, and painting.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost management.
  • Experience with supply chain, planning and scheduling, customer service, and quality within a manufacturing operations environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and functions.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including data analysis, solution implementation, and outcome sustainment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Preferred).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Preferred).
  • Working knowledge of ERP planning systems; Plex experience preferred (Preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) (Preferred).
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk within both office and production floor environments.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
  • Visual acuity for computer screens and documents.
  • Ability to wear required PPE when on the shop floor.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing and document handling.
