About the Role
The Production Assistant supports NY local audio programming by editing audio sources for on-air content and operating audio board equipment for live broadcasts. The role also involves assisting the production team in developing multi-platform content.
Responsibilities
- Edit actualities, play-by-play highlights, and audio from ESPN and NY local shows.
- Select relevant audio cuts for ESPN NY Audio and other platforms.
- Catalogue edited audio and distribute content to production teams.
- Load playlists and log commercials, sales, and promotional mentions.
- Monitor on-air product for quality control and industry standards.
- Complete scheduled technical training sessions.
- Generate story ideas and provide research materials for interviews.
- Contribute to creative concepts for audio and multi-platform content.
- Assist the imaging team with promos and show production.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial production at a network or local radio facility.
- Working knowledge of audio operator boards.
- Knowledge of ESPN NY Audio programming.
- Strong general sports knowledge.
