About the Role

Lead the design, modeling, and coordination of complex mechanical systems for hyperscale and AI-driven data centers across the United States. Ensure all systems meet the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, safety, and compliance with codes and client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering design activities on major projects in the United States
  • Design, model, and simulate mechanical systems for hyperscale and AI data centers, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, cooling towers, chilled water systems, and boilers
  • Prepare engineering calculations and detailed mechanical drawings
  • Design highly energy-efficient and sustainable systems
  • Create technical documentation for project execution, including design criteria and specifications
  • Ensure project requirements are met in terms of scope, cost, and schedule
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate BIM models and resolve conflicts
  • Review shop drawings for compliance with engineering codes and safety standards
  • Develop and maintain project scope documentation and revisions
  • Utilize BIM tools for virtual construction of mechanical systems and coordination with other disciplines
  • Manage and coordinate projects, including on-site supervision
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress
  • Support construction administration
  • Utilize laser scanning technology to document installation states

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the construction industry
  • Experience with data center projects or other large-scale industrial projects is a plus but not required
  • Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit), CAD tools, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software preferred
  • Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with mechanical codes and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management abilities, including the coordination and supervision of on-site activities
  • Must hold a current Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state
  • Good project and client leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently to client sites
  • Ability to work from home
  • Authorization to work in the United States
