About the Role

Responsibilities
- Provide classroom instruction and/or student supervision for students in Grades K–8 and Extended Day programs as assigned.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.
- Supervise students during class, recess, lunch, field trips, Extended Day, and other school activities as assigned.
- Leave detailed notes for the classroom teacher regarding lessons completed, student progress, attendance, behavioral concerns, and other relevant updates from the school day.
- Follow school policies and procedures and communicate any concerns to administrators as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility in supporting various grade levels, subject areas, and programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Previous classroom teaching, substitute teaching, student teaching, or other school-based experience preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills and ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school-aged students preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsive and reliable in communicating availability and promptly responding to assignment requests.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Flexible, professional, and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to supporting an inclusive and respectful school community.
