About the Role

This role owns the site experience product, including systems, components, and lead capture experiences, accountable for driving key performance indicators. The ideal candidate treats a site as a product with customers and a scoreboard, is a self-starter, and thrives on finding and scaling high-performing experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own the site experience product, including reusable systems and components, and be accountable for the KPIs they drive.
  • Own the lead capture experience, including its structure, behavior, placement, and performance.
  • Experiment across sites to identify and scale winning patterns that improve results.
  • Be accountable for KPIs tied to owned experiences and systems, and prioritize work to improve them.
  • Define initiative objectives and success metrics before work begins, setting baselines and targets.
  • Translate customer research and behavioral data into requirements for experience and conversion improvements.
  • Build and evolve reusable systems and components for sites, balancing standardization with distinct site needs.
  • Turn requirements into clear project overviews, epics, feature specs, and user stories for design and engineering.
  • Maintain governance and documentation for system consistency, brand alignment, and design standards.
  • Run systematic experimentation across sites to learn what performs and scale winners.
  • Partner with other product managers to sequence work against shared capacity, balancing priorities.
  • Prioritize work that lifts the most sites simultaneously.
  • Treat internal users (editorial and brand teams) as primary users, focusing on their adoption and experience.
  • Describe new capabilities to drive adoption and engagement across business units.
  • Proactively monitor for friction and improvement opportunities, and maintain product documentation.
  • Lead user acceptance testing for new capabilities before production.
  • Coordinate technical implementation across shared engineering resources.
  • Hold the big picture across many sites while focusing on the details.
  • Create order from ambiguity by establishing processes, documentation, and systems.
  • Own deliverables end-to-end, from requirements through launch to optimization.
  • Operate with clear direction on the 'what' and 'why', using judgment for the 'how'.
  • Spot and solve problems early, adapting quickly to shifting priorities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience with web products.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to manage diverse, parallel workstreams.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, design systems, or lead capture systems.
  • Comfort owning KPIs: defining them, setting baselines and targets, and making prioritization calls.
  • Strong follow-through and a track record of completing projects.
  • Comfort turning requirements into project overviews, epics, feature specs, and user stories.
  • Experience running user acceptance testing with a high bar for quality.
  • Data fluency: able to manipulate raw data, build reports, and use funnel analysis, A/B testing, and metric definition.
  • Solid understanding of general engineering, UX, and UI considerations in web products.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into business value.
  • Bias toward action: comfortable deciding with incomplete information.
