About the Role

The Impact Analyst & Trainer supports program assessment and enhancement by designing and implementing evaluation projects, analyzing data, and translating findings into actionable insights. This role contributes to data-driven strategies and continuous program improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain data quality across programs and databases, partnering with program staff to strengthen data collection practices, improve accuracy and completeness, and ensure data integrity within Apricot.
• Provide technical training and ongoing system support in group, individual, in-person, and virtual settings.
• Develop training curriculum and supporting materials, including writing training guides and recording sessions for asynchronous learning.
• Support large-scale database improvement projects through project management including defining scope and timelines, tracking progress, and facilitating workgroups or ad-hoc meetings.
• Identify and contribute to process improvements that enhance data quality and overall impact.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis and interpret findings to generate actionable insights.
• Create clear, impactful data visualizations, reports, and presentations for diverse audiences, translating complex findings into actionable recommendations.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and performance reports that enable program teams and leadership to monitor outcomes, progress toward goals, and compliance.
• Facilitate data-informed discussions with program teams to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in research, program evaluation, or data analysis, ideally within a non-profit, social services, or mission-driven context.
• Strong analytical skills, including experience with descriptive and multivariate analyses, longitudinal studies, or predictive modeling and qualitative analysis.
• Familiarity with statistical software such as R, SPSS, or Stata.
• Deep commitment to URI’s mission, vision, and core values.
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy and data integrity.
• Advanced organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams, build strong partnerships, and drive successful outcomes.
• Deep commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, and confidential handling of sensitive data, particularly when working with vulnerable populations.
• Must be able to travel to program sites within the NYC area.
• Will be required to read printed and handwritten materials.
• Will be required to manipulate the computer mouse and keyboard.
• Will be required to read information on computer screen.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to enter information in digital forms and spreadsheets.
