About the Role
Heritage Financial Credit Union is seeking a Treasury Operations Analyst to support critical payment, settlement, and cash management functions. This role offers the opportunity to work with key financial processes, strengthen operational controls, and contribute to the effective management of the credit union’s financial resources.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation and balancing of core payment and clearing channels, including ACH, ATM settlements, wire transfers, Zelle, and foreign currency activity.
- Ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, and documentation of funds movement in accordance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Support liquidity tracking, balance sheet management reporting, and accounts payable processing.
- Assist management with Balance Sheet management initiatives, including strategy implementation and reporting.
- Perform daily balancing of the ACH in-process account and resolve discrepancies.
- Complete Day 2 balancing of prior-day ATM, mobile, and merchant deposits.
- Reconcile the corporate credit union account daily.
- Reconcile daily Zelle activity.
- Manage custody of daily, weekly, and monthly supporting documentation.
- Gather and review daily ATM settlement reports.
- Process wire transfers through corporate credit union partners.
- Process wire transfers to fund branch cash orders and credit union investments.
- Support daily cash positioning, bank reconciliations, cash allocations, and Treasury payments.
- Assist with short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting and liquidity monitoring.
- Support daily efforts to manage the Credit Union Balance Sheet to maximize return on CU assets and execute on Balance Sheet Strategy implementation.
- Review and approve the weekly Accounts Payable runs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; equivalent work experience considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in credit union or bank operations, treasury, or accounting.
- Experience involving balance sheet management, daily general ledger balancing, reconciliations, ACH, wire, or ATM settlement processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of cash management and its role to the Credit Union.
- Working knowledge of ACH, wire transfer, and ATM/card settlement processes.
- Familiarity with Federal Reserve clearing and settlement operations.
- Proficiency with core processing and reconciliation systems (e.g., Insight, Fiserv, Prologue, iDentifi, Client Central) or ability to learn proprietary systems quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and research balancing discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple daily deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong internal controls and documentation standards.
