About the Role

The Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO) is seeking a Director, Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Management to lead enterprise-wide Operational Resilience & BCM programs and governance across RBC's platforms. This role drives strategic vision, long-term operational models, and program governance to elevate quality, ensure business consistency, and establish RBC as best-in-class in organizational preparedness and response to disruptions.

Responsibilities

Own and manage Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management procedures, governance, quality assurance, training, and enterprise control monitoring across all platforms
Establish and maintain standardized BCM methodologies, procedures, and execution expectations, including version control of Business Unit addendums aligned with BCRM Standards.
Oversee a comprehensive Quality Assurance program monitoring BCP artifact completeness, accuracy, and consistency through sampling, defect tracking, and remediation
Lead design and delivery of comprehensive training programs for BCM Advisors, business partners, and risk owners to build enterprise capability maturity
Own the Enterprise BCM control library, monitor effectiveness, track control deficiencies, and escalate critical issues to Platforms for resolution
Partner with platform and business unit leaders to drive consistent BCM practices and embed business continuity into the way RBC leads, operates, and responds to disruption
Support regulatory, supervisory, and audit engagements as accountable owner, coordinating evidence, walkthroughs, and remediation outcomes.
Prepare executive reporting on enterprise BCM program health, maturity, regulatory alignment, and performance metrics

Requirements

Partner with platform and business unit leaders to establish standardized procedures, execute comprehensive quality assurance program, design enterprise training initiatives, and own the enterprise BCM control library.
Embed a culture of operational excellence and resilience while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving consistency across the organization.
Accountable for shaping the enterprise capabilities and executing enterprise governance, quality assurance, training, and ownership of enterprise BCM controls that underpin this strategy to establish RBC as best in class with respect to organizational preparedness and response to disruptions.
