About the Role

As a Lead Trade Operations Administrator, you will ensure the smooth execution of daily activities for the Receivables Finance Operations team. This role requires a strong understanding of Trade operations, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules, and internal controls including international sanctions and Financial Crime Risks. You will also monitor workflow management tools and facilitate optimal resource planning to deliver superior customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Process funding and remittance allocation transactions and apply all compliance controls
  • Reconcile client ledgers and monitor overdues
  • Sample and validate transactions to ensure receivables are valid, considering AML and Sanctions guidelines
  • Deliver excellent customer service and provide top quality trade services/solutions
  • Ensure the customer is central to all activities by driving a customer-centric culture
  • Monitor service quality standards and set benchmarks for high performance
  • Monitor operational performance based on key metrics like Service Level Agreements, quality, and operational losses, taking appropriate action and escalating where necessary
  • Proactively identify problems and effectively resolve them, sharing best practices with other Trade and Receivable Finance teams

Requirements

  • Knowledge of accounting and cash flow
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including lookups and macros
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Previous experience with trade finance products, operations, trade cycle and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules and regulations is strongly preferred
  • Post-secondary education in business or related field
  • Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP), Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) or other relevant professional designation
  • Good understanding of operational risk related to the underlying trade transactions
  • Knowledge of AML and sanction risk related to trade finance transactions
