About the Role

The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto and the Laboratory Medicine Program at the University Health Network (UHN) are seeking an Anatomic Pathologist with expertise in Gynecologic Pathology. The role involves fostering excellence in practice, teaching, and research, with duties including diagnostic services, frozen sections, autopsies, and on-call responsibilities. Leadership in research and scholarly publishing is expected, along with evidence of innovative teaching and education.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in general frozen sections and/or autopsy
  • Participating in diagnostic service for UHN and its client facilities
  • After hours on-call duties
  • Participation and leadership in collaborative or independent research
  • Publishing scholarly work
  • Demonstrating excellent and innovative scholarship in teaching and education at undergraduate, post-graduate, fellowship, and continuing education levels

Requirements

  • Medical degree
  • Certification in Anatomical Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent
  • Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Sub-specialty fellowship in Gynecologic Pathology is encouraged
