About the Role

The Program Coordinator, International Student Development Programs will work as part of the International Student Experience (ISE) Team, contributing to the development and delivery of programs and resources that enhance the international student experience. This role involves leading program development, resource creation, and collaborative programming coordination across various stages of the international student lifecycle, ensuring a holistic and accessible approach.

Responsibilities

Planning and implementing components of curricular and/or co-curricular programs and activities
Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
Developing strategies that maximize outreach to students
Writing summary reports on programs and services
Implementing plans and process improvements for program and service activities
Fostering and maintaining networks to build capacity and collaboration
Coordinating the recruitment process and training of casual staff

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience in designing, delivering and evaluating (international) student experience programs
Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in (international) student development initiatives
Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience building successful collaborative programming with a diverse range of stakeholders toward a common goal
Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience with event coordination including logistics and delivery
Knowledge of international student transitions into and out of international higher education landscapes
Demonstrated knowledge of multi-campus or distributed student support services and international student experience from the student life cycle lens
Exceptional intercultural competency awareness; experience working with diverse communities & cultures and an understanding of anti-oppression and equity practices
Experience developing programs and initiatives within a team environment
Demonstrated experience leading large components of projects
Interpersonal and intercultural communications skills
Excellent administrative skills, including word processing, data analysis, desktop publishing and experience with databases
Proficiency in developing assessment tools, analysing and interpreting data
Strong assessment (quantitative and qualitative) skills, including program evaluation and performance assessments
Proven experience in working in flexible environments and in dealing with uncertainty
Demonstrated high level of accuracy
