About the Role
The Environmental Services Department on the Manhattan campus is seeking part-time Housekeeping Workers to join our team. The work shift is 8 am to 4 pm, and availability is required every weekend and holiday as needed. Successful candidates must be available for a 5-day orientation.
Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and sanitize all areas of the facility, including corridors, common areas, lobby, offices, restrooms, stairwells, and elevators.
- Collect, clean, reline receptacles, and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
- Clean, disinfect, and sanitize resident rooms and corridors, focusing on high-touch areas, furniture, beds, restrooms, handrails, overbed tables, and commodes using proper techniques and chemicals.
- Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return them to their correct placement.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Remove and transport Regulated Medical Waste in compliance with Infection Control and Blood-borne Pathogen Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary, and attractive manner.
- Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using chemicals and equipment.
- Ensure established Infection Control practices are maintained during all tasks.
- Perform strip, wax, and buffing tasks.
Requirements
- Must work with various cleaning chemicals and solutions.
- Experience in Strip, Wax and Buffering.
