About the Role

Performs entry-level repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce products and/or components according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and follows blueprints, routers, specifications, and other instructions to build and assemble parts and equipment accurately and timely.
  • Performs entry-level assembly line tasks as a team member, completing various tasks as different product models move along the line, under the guidance of a lead or supervisor.
  • Fastens parts together using bolts, clips, screws, or other methods according to process manuals and work order instructions.
  • Maintains department standards for efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Follows all established safety procedures, including wearing required PPE and maintaining 5S standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to use a variety of hand/air tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, electronic schematics, and other manufacturing instructions.
  • Ability to understand LEAN principles for continuous improvement.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and metric system conversions.
  • Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.
  • Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
  • Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
  • Lifts/moves average weight materials (25 to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) often, and occasionally lifts heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs).
