About the Role
Corebridge Real Estate Investors is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the accounting, tax, reporting, and treasury functions for the European real estate investment portfolio. This role requires a motivated, detail-oriented individual comfortable working in a dynamic environment with complex transactions and interacting across the organization. It offers significant growth opportunities in various accounting, reporting, and tax areas.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial reporting, including GAAP financial statements, cash flows, tax reporting, regulatory compliance, and project-specific reporting.
- Manage accounting functions, including general ledger, investor, fund, and property-level reporting, and cash management.
- Coordinate and monitor the external audit process.
- Proactively identify and resolve accounting, reporting, and tax issues.
- Manage joint-venture partner relationships, including reviewing monthly financial statements.
- Assist in developing accounting policies and procedures and resolving internal control concerns.
- Support annual budget, monthly estimate, and quarterly variance reporting processes.
- Prepare reporting for various internal third-party groups under tight deadlines.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of accounting and finance work experience within the real estate industry.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP investment company and historical cost accounting methods.
- Good work ethic, ability to work under pressure with multiple projects and deadlines, and report to multiple individuals.
- Significant interaction with joint venture partners, internal groups, third-party property managers, fund administrators, asset/investment managers, and auditors.
- Proactive and responsive to management.
- Ability to work independently and identify/resolve issues.
- Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach.
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting/financial statement presentation, budgeting, and transaction analysis.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including Yardi, Microsoft Office Suite, and Advanced Excel skills.
