About the Role
Support transactions generated by Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets brokerage services with a concentration in multifamily valuation analyses. Perform complex financial analysis activities including pricing, Excel valuation model creation, and due diligence collection and review. Translate analysis findings into high-level summaries for Capital Market brokers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of complex Broker financial analysis/modeling requests, potentially serving as a project manager on high-value client opportunities and portfolio transactions.
- Prepare pro forma statements, discounted cash flow analyses, and Excel-based financial models considering market conditions.
- Conduct audits of existing financial models for accuracy of inputs and assumptions, identifying data gaps.
- Conduct market research to analyze property and market conditions and synthesize findings clearly.
- Communicate with Brokers and Broker teams to confirm request scope, review analysis findings, and make revisions.
- Identify and communicate missing information or unclear requests to ensure accurate analyses.
- Develop high-level analysis summaries by identifying transaction considerations, trends, outliers, and logical inconsistencies.
- Assist and mentor CMFA Analysts.
- Participate in the development of training resource tools and materials for Analyst development.
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure work product is thorough, complete, and meets scope requirements.
- Track and develop working knowledge of real estate fundamentals and industry trends.
- Support process improvement and automation initiatives within the CMFA Hub.
- Perform other related duties as required or requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
- A combination of education without a degree and corporate work experience may be considered.
- 2-5 years of financial analysis and modeling experience.
- Capital Markets experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of real estate financial concepts.
- Extensive experience with multifamily underwriting is a plus, as is experience in self-storage, senior housing, mixed-use, student housing, or LIHTC.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Passion for client delivery with a strong emphasis on producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
