About the Role
The Guest Service Captain orchestrates the service experience for hotel guests, ensuring site service standards are met or exceeded. This role involves coordination, administration, and providing guidance to coworkers under the direction of the Account Manager, including handling critical issues and making judgment calls when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, staff, and coworkers.
- Greet guests within 30 seconds of arrival.
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
- Check in arriving guests and explain parking and retrieval procedures.
- Park and retrieve vehicles safely and cautiously.
- Handle guest complaints and difficult situations with composure.
- Provide bell services, room presentations, and assistance with guest inquiries.
- Maintain knowledge of facility amenities, meeting rooms, and local attractions.
- Lead the work group by example and communicate effectively.
- Assign routine and non-ordinary roles to associates as directed by the Account Manager.
- Manage staff levels during shifts based on business conditions.
- Issue and collect vehicle claim checks and keys.
- Complete ticket information, damage surveys, and key security protocols.
- Ensure staff adhere to safety and confidentiality standards, including HIPAA compliance.
- Assist the Account Manager with scheduling and administrative tasks.
- Collect revenue, complete cash drop slips, and reconcile shift reports.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a criminal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
- Complete the Towne Park Wheelchair Safety Training course.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to speak, read, and write Standard English.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with American currency.
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
