About the Role

As a Team Lead, you will support the overall safety, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the area, ensuring timely deliverables. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team including Area Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Production Planners.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products by conducting thorough quality checks according to specified instructions.
• Report production process disruptions or deviations to the Manufacturing group leader for swift resolution.
• Ensure components, parts, and documents comply with quality specifications before proceeding.
• Propose and implement improvements to enhance quality, productivity, and the work environment.
• Operate and oversee all relevant machinery, tools, and equipment according to instructions.
• Set up and adjust equipment according to manufacturing and R&D specifications for Pilot runs.
• Monitor output quality, identify faulty products, and maintain records of daily production activities and pilot runs.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team, maintaining positive working relationships.
• Provide job training.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills and interpreting technical drawings and schematics for new product generations.

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing environments such as welding, assembly, or mechanic.
• Experience leading teams with up to 20 people is preferred.
• Critical thinker who takes ownership, makes decisions with confidence, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and 10-hour shifts.
• Must be able to successfully perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
• US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
• Must reside in or within commuting distance to Latham, NY.
