About the Role

This is a full-time, entry-level position focused on studying tissue culture and transgenic mouse models of Alzheimer's disease. Responsibilities include isolation of extracellular vesicles and performing biochemical and immunolabeling/histological analyses. The role supports Postdoctoral Fellows and offers the opportunity for research autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Animal handling.
  • Biochemical analyses.
  • Immunolabeling/histology of fixed tissue.
  • Collection of data, including quantitative microscopic analyses of fixed immunolabeled tissue.
  • General laboratory work/preparation.
  • Cell culture.

Requirements

  • BS in Neuroscience
  • Previous research experience
  • Previous experience with immunohistochemistry
  • Experience with GraphPad Prism
  • Experience with poster presentation
  • Cell culture experience preferred
  • Some experience with Western Blot
  • Experience handling small laboratory animals preferred
  • Prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.
