About the Role

As an Associate Merchant or Associate Buyer within the Business Enablement & Enterprise Procurement (BEEP) Team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of Canadian retail. You will support category procurement, vendor management, and strategic merchandising initiatives to deliver exceptional products and customer experiences across over 3,000 stores nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with diverse business units to drive category success and resolve store inquiries.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with vendors and external partners.
  • Support the execution of pricing and promotional strategies, including data entry and integrity management.
  • Leverage analytics to provide strategic insights on category performance and trends.
  • Manage product assortment planning and coordinate planogram executions.
  • Oversee financial activities including vendor income billings and analysis.
  • Guide vendors through onboarding processes and manage transitions or cost changes.
  • Evaluate new private label products and platform innovations.
  • Support vendor performance management, data generation, and presentation preparation.
  • Maintain end-to-end system data accuracy for the product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, merchandising, and sourcing teams to resolve fulfillment challenges.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or retail merchandising.
  • Foundational understanding of financial indicators such as margin, sales metrics, and shrink.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to complete a criminal background check.
