About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside an experienced Structural Heart Interventional Cardiologist in a collaborative, high-quality practice focused on advanced valvular heart disease. This position is primarily office-based, providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing evaluation and treatment with the latest structural heart therapies, with potential for limited in-hospital involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients being considered for structural heart interventions, including Watchman™ Left Atrial Appendage Closure, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), MitraClip™/Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Mitral Repair, Tricuspid Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Tricuspid repair, and PFO Closure.
  • Perform pre-procedural evaluations and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
  • Provide postoperative and longitudinal follow-up for structural heart patients.
  • Review diagnostic testing and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, imaging specialists, and the structural heart team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and long-term management.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Current New York State NP or PA license.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills.
  • Prior cardiology or cardiovascular experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with structural heart disease, interventional cardiology, or heart failure is a plus.
