About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside an experienced Structural Heart Interventional Cardiologist in a collaborative, high-quality practice focused on advanced valvular heart disease. This position is primarily office-based, providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing evaluation and treatment with the latest structural heart therapies, with potential for limited in-hospital involvement.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients being considered for structural heart interventions, including Watchman™ Left Atrial Appendage Closure, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), MitraClip™/Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Mitral Repair, Tricuspid Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Tricuspid repair, and PFO Closure.
Perform pre-procedural evaluations and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
Provide postoperative and longitudinal follow-up for structural heart patients.
Review diagnostic testing and develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, imaging specialists, and the structural heart team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and long-term management.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Current New York State NP or PA license.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills.
Prior cardiology or cardiovascular experience strongly preferred.
Experience with structural heart disease, interventional cardiology, or heart failure is a plus.
