About the Role

The Equipment Deployment Specialist supports the installation or removal of vending and market equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares equipment for installation at accounts and performs all installations and removals for current and new accounts.
  • Works with Managers and customers to determine the best course of action to install or remove equipment.
  • Installs team drives to locations throughout the region.
  • Responsible for moving equipment from warehouse to customer site or the reverse using proper handling equipment.
  • Unloads and cleans trash from delivery vehicle, performs daily vehicle operative checks, reports vehicle problems, and secures keys and vehicle.
  • Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for equipment repair, installation, and/or removal.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
  • Tests and fills machines to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; including basic CAD drawings with measurements.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and push or pull up to 700 pounds aided by heavy equipment.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
  • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk or radiation; and vibration.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of finished carpentry, millwork installation, electrical connections, plumbing connections, and IT connections.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
