About the Role
The Principal serves as the instructional and cultural leader of the school, responsible for setting a vision for academic excellence, developing a high-performing team, and fostering a rigorous, joyful school culture to drive scholar outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary leadership to achieve outstanding school performance
- Develop and communicate strategic school systems, culture, and vision
- Implement effective assessment systems and use data to inform decisions
- Lead curriculum execution and ensure alignment with state and rigorous standards
- Conduct daily teacher observations and provide real-time feedback
- Oversee faculty and staff evaluation, retention, and professional development
- Ensure staff provide well-managed and rigorous daily lessons
- Collaborate with the Special Services Manager to ensure equitable access for students with IEPs
- Analyze academic and culture data to identify trends and areas for growth
- Develop and execute targeted action plans
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies based on data outcomes
- Build a joyful and rigorous school culture
- Foster consistency in academic and behavioral expectations
- Communicate regularly with families regarding scholar performance and school policies
- Respond to family concerns promptly and effectively

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- At least 4 years of teaching experience
- At least 2 years of experience as an instructional leader, Assistant Principal, or Dean
- Bachelor’s degree
