About the Role
The Goddard School is seeking assistant teachers for their 1-year-old program at the StuyTown location. This role is ideal for kind, compassionate, reliable, and professional individuals seeking a fun and appreciative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
- Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
- Establishing positive and effective family relations and communication
- Implementing creative, engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
- Maintaining routine and structure in the classroom
Requirements
- Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field (required for lead teacher)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred for lead teacher)
- Ability to relocate to New York, NY 10009 before starting work
