About the Role

As a Retail Print Manager, you will drive print sales and service growth in a high-volume store. Your role involves creating a sales culture, enhancing print product merchandising, and ensuring client satisfaction. You will oversee print production, manage equipment and supplies, and deliver high-quality print materials. This leadership position requires fostering a customer-centric environment, engaging with the community, and upholding Office Depot's values. As a "Key Carrier," you will be responsible for opening and closing the store and acting as a leader on duty. A flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays is necessary. The ideal candidate is passionate about print services, customer service, operational excellence, and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery of memorable customer experiences and client satisfaction in the Print Department.
  • Execute Office Depot selling techniques and sales training in print and across the store.
  • Drive a sales-focused environment through the training and development of all associates, including print.
  • Act as a role model for delivering exceptional customer service and product expertise.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to associates on print processes and selling techniques.
  • Facilitate training sessions on the business model and holistic service offerings.
  • Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty.
  • Exercise independent judgment when assessing store associates' performance, certifications, and competencies.
  • Operate all Print Services equipment to maintain efficient production and ensure timely order completion.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Monitor and manage all print supplies.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain the safety and security of the print department, building, and associates during manager absence.
  • Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including alarm system operation, cash handling, and daily store balancing.
  • Ensure regular loss prevention compliance in partnership with all associates.
  • Fulfill all responsibilities associated with the External Key Carrier designation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1–3 years related experience
  • Minimum 2 years management experience or equivalent internal development
  • Experience in Print Center operations
  • Experience with logistics, freight, and visual merchandising
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule aligning with business needs, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • May require consent to periodic comprehensive background checks.
