About the Role
The Pastry Cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food and pastry items for service. This role offers the opportunity to build culinary skills and grow as a leader within a team dedicated to Enlightened Hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
- Demonstrate understanding of baking and pastry techniques, production, and kitchen equipment usage
- Ensure station mise en place is prepped, seasoned, and prepared to culinary standards by service start
- Maintain knowledge of seasonal ingredients and learn new ingredients used in the cuisine
- Participate in service by restocking stations and performing special-order prep with a sense of urgency
- Communicate effectively and hospitably with all teams
- Maintain an orderly work area to promote food quality and reduce waste
- Follow recipes, portioning, storage, and FIFO procedures
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as a Pastry Cook
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
- English fluency
