About the Role

Our ML team sits at the intersection of research, engineering, and platform development. We partner closely with researchers and investors to prototype novel modeling ideas, build high-performance ML infrastructure, and productionize models that run at scale across massive datasets. You’ll play a key role in both engineering ML models and building the platforms and pipelines that make research faster and production systems more robust.

Responsibilities

  • Prototype and experiment with ML models across a range of techniques, from traditional ML methods to deep learning architectures.
  • Engineer promising research models for production, including data pipelines, scalable training jobs, inference serving, and deployment monitoring.
  • Design and evolve the ML platform for research and engineering teams, covering feature pipelines, training orchestration, deployment workflows, model registries, and experiment tracking tools.
  • Design and implement performant data pipelines for large-scale feature extraction and model training data workflows across batch, streaming, and distributed compute environments.
  • Optimize ML models and supporting infrastructure for latency, memory footprint, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with researchers, data engineers, and infrastructure engineers to improve modeling workflows end-to-end.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production-grade ML systems.
  • Deep ML engineering experience, including training and deploying ML models in production and understanding the full model lifecycle.
  • Experience building or maintaining ML infrastructure (e.g., experiment tracking, feature stores, training pipelines, model serving frameworks, or distributed training orchestration).
  • Experience building high-throughput, reliable data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
  • Strong foundations in linear algebra, optimization, and statistics.
  • Awareness of system performance and profiling for efficiency through parallelization, data loading, or model optimization.
  • Comfort reading ML papers, questioning modeling choices, and proposing improvements while considering engineering realities.
