Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in patient care activities, including vital signs and prescription calls.
  • Prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
  • Obtain accurate patient information, explain procedures, and ensure chart completion.
  • Assist with insurance, compensation, disability, and prior authorization forms.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including examination rooms.
  • Monitor and replenish medical supplies.
  • Evaluate patient care and response, maintaining liaison with physicians and administration.
  • Escort and transport patients within the clinic.
  • Organize work area and clinic to keep providers on schedule and prioritize tasks.
  • Comply with quality assurance, HIPPA, customer focus, infection control, safety, and other policies.
  • Ensure adequate patient follow-up for prescriptions, referrals, and diagnostic testing.
  • Contribute to patient care through education and providing resource literature.
  • Coordinate scheduling with the medical secretary.
  • Represent Dent by displaying a respectful and caring manner.
  • Independently problem-solve and utilize resources for patient information when communication is difficult.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
