About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Automated Testing Framework (ATF) platform team. The ATF team builds one of ServiceNow's most strategic developer platforms and enables customers to safely develop, deploy, upgrade, and operate mission-critical workflows at enterprise scale. The team is pioneering AI-native experiences that help developers create, validate, and maintain complex business applications with significantly less effort.

Responsibilities

Lead multiple product development teams and ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software
Manage a team of engineers, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and career development
Drive engineering excellence through architecture, design, and adoption of modern software practices
Work with product management and cross-functional stakeholders to set priorities and achieve product and business goals
Establish, standardize and scale strategies and automation frameworks across teams to ensure product reliability and performance
Drive innovation and continuous improvement across engineering functions, leveraging AI/ML where relevant
Drive Knowledge sharing of best practices related to engineering standards with other teams within ServiceNow
Anticipate technical and organizational challenges, providing clarity and structured solutions
Manage resources, staffing, and succession planning to build and retain a best-in-class engineering organization

Requirements

Ability to manage projects with material technical risk at a team level
Experience with open-source tools and agile development environments
Fluency in one or more relevant programming languages (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.)
An understanding of broad concepts and experience using those concepts to understand and develop solutions for problems
Ability to execute a project based on our priorities, context, risks and desired outcomes
Proven success in managing large, distributed teams and leading through complexity
Must have experience providing direct field support to customers
Experience in leveraging or critical thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
Experience In using AI Productivity tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, etc is a plus or nice to have
10+ years of experience in software engineering and at least 5 + years of Experience in a management position for technical teams
Deep technical expertise in enterprise software development, architecture, and testing
Fluency in multiple programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.) and strong system design skills
Advanced working knowledge of test engineering processes and methodologies with a track record of delivering high-quality products at scale while balancing speed and quality
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, cloud platforms, and automation tools
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to understand and implement best practices and coding standards about role specific requirements
