About the Role

The Coordinator, Product Development will support the cosmetics development process from ideation to launch, alongside daily administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, thrives in fast-paced settings, and has a passion for cosmetics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing projects, ensuring timelines and development milestones are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sourcing, Planning, Creative, and Brand Development.
• Maintain the product library, retains, and lab submissions.
• Acquire and track competitive products.
• Maintain shared team documents, including updates and communication of changes.
• Manage samples and packaging for various programs.
• Review incoming formula submissions and consolidate feedback.
• Communicate project updates with external vendors.
• Travel on-site to evaluate formulas and provide feedback to vendors.
• Assist Brand Development in executing product launches.
• Support Brand-led initiatives and tasks.
• Research fashion, beauty, and social media trends to support business strategies.
• Compile monthly trend reports for the Product Development team.
• Assist with day-to-day administrative duties.

Requirements

• Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Ability to clearly articulate formula aesthetics, qualities, and attributes.
• Ability to react to project changes and priorities, demonstrating initiative.
• Must be able to perform essential functions without posing a direct threat to health and safety.

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience Level

• 1-3 years beauty industry experience

Education Level

• BA/BS required
