About the Role
The Claim Examiner Trainee position is an entry-level role within liability Claims, designed for individuals seeking a career in Property and Casualty Insurance. Trainees will manage incoming claims under supervision, developing the skills to handle more complex claims independently.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze claims to evaluate and settle them, providing exceptional customer service and claims handling support.
- Review standard operating procedures and training manuals to understand workflow and documentation requirements for various claims scenarios.
- Develop proficiency in reviewing medical records and analyzing contracts such as leases and contractor agreements.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Some experience in insurance or legal preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 required.
- Internet and Social Media savvy for research and investigations required.
- Required to pass The Institutes Associate in Claims (AIC) 300; Claims in the Evolving World course/examination within 120 days from their date of hire.
