About the Role

Performs order fulfillment and delivery activities using mobile computer technology for tasks such as Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) counting. This role involves printing, filling, sorting, staging, and delivering inventory and non-inventory materials across multiple campus locations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs periodic inventory of assigned items using mobile computer technology.
  • Organizes and counts supplies in stock unit of measure.
  • Enters data into mobile computer and returns it after use.
  • Performs keyboard computer commands to build computerized pick tickets and packing slips.
  • Prints pick tickets and packing slips.
  • Acknowledges and bills supply orders to customer cost centers via computer.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting of printers, including refilling paper.
  • Retrieves stored items from storage locations using computerized pick tickets to fulfill customer orders.
  • Operates manual, powered, and computerized equipment during order fulfillment.
  • Stages picked supplies accurately for shipment.
  • Completes all required paperwork and attaches packing slips to fulfilled orders.
  • Performs final delivery of all items processed through the on-campus Distribution area.
  • Operates manual or powered equipment during delivery.
  • Delivers and physically puts away material, rotating materiel dates as needed.
  • Obtains customer signatures of receipt on Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Returns completed paperwork to Distribution for final processing.
  • Performs radioactive package delivery to the Hot Lab location per EH&S policy.
  • Assists contracted laundry vendor in unloading clean linen supply truck.
  • Pushes hamper carts of clean, packaged linen into the Linen Room.
  • Rotates stock and stores linen in the correct location.
  • Breaks down mixed linen bins and places linen onto shelves.
  • Maintains a neat and organized linen room.
  • Performs Track Pad deliveries using mobile computer technology, capturing customer signatures and location details.
  • Reports issues when end-user office locations do not match Track Pad delivery locations.
  • Performs physical restocking of shelf storage locations in various Lawson Inventory Sites.
  • Maintains clean and neat storage areas.
  • Unbundles, sorts, and processes inbound US Postal Service and internal mail.
  • Performs internal mail runs, banding similar mail stops by building location.
  • Follows USPS procedures for outbound mail processing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
  • 4-6 years in a service position involving supply chain, shipping and receiving required.
  • Demonstrated basic level competency with Microsoft Windows.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop win-win relationships across various levels of Center Staff.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Excellent people/customer service orientation skills.
  • Innate curiosity to learn and understand relationships.
  • Knowledge of various Materials Management software tools.
  • Ability to use good judgment when performing job functions or interacting with others.
  • Ability to accept and carry out direction, work cooperatively with others, and avoid interpersonal conflict.
  • Ability to independently organize work to meet established deadlines for timely supply delivery.
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Must ensure that access to sensitive information is based on a “need to know” and is the minimum necessary.
  • Must ensure that use or disclosure does not exceed the minimum amount of information needed.
  • Must make reasonable efforts to ensure information is adequately protected from unauthorized access and modification.
