About the Role
Applies secure software engineering principles to design, develop, and maintain software and cloud infrastructure. Evaluates alternative approaches to ensure software and systems meet business requirements, architecture, and technology direction. Incorporates state-of-the-art concepts for system functionality, scalability, resilience, and security, while focusing on ease-of-use. Utilizes agile principles for efficient delivery of business value, collaboration, continuous improvement, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical and procedural skills to support an assigned team's work within a specified application set or on discrete system elements.
- Engage in design and development discussions, helping the team conceptualize desired outcomes from a software engineering perspective.
- Contribute to the design and development of user interfaces using TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
- Assist with feature and element estimation in terms of technical input, resources, time, and anticipated outcomes.
- Develop and implement unit and systems testing for integral code paths, ensuring adherence to secure coding practices.
- Support deployment and operation of application components on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
- Provide technical support, including troubleshooting and enhancement for existing and new features within application and system structures.
- Document processes to capture best practices, applicable methodologies, and repeatability.
- Update team members, manager, product owners, and other key stakeholders on status, challenges, and concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field; or a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field with no degree.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript and experience contributing to UI solutions.
- Requires strong knowledge of Java or other object-oriented backend languages to support full-stack collaboration and system integration.
- Familiarity with AWS or another major cloud platform (Azure, GCP) and basic cloud-native concepts such as serverless functions, containers, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent Foundational skills in analytical thinking, requirements analysis, software installation and support, system and technology integration, and technical troubleshooting.
- Foundational skills in building partnerships, challenging personal limitations, driving innovation, focusing on execution, and striving for excellence.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar) is a plus.
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana testing may not be administered for this position, but it is a drug-free workplace).

- $89,400.00 - $134,000.00
- Potential for additional compensation via incentive program
