About the Role

Support large-scale, multi-regional technology initiatives within the IT division of a leading global banking organization. Partner closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders to drive project governance, reporting, risk management, and cross-functional coordination across global regions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide PMO support for global, multi-regional technology projects, ensuring successful project execution and delivery.
  • Partner with Project Managers to track project milestones, timelines, deliverables, and overall progress.
  • Monitor and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and action items, providing timely escalation when necessary.
  • Identify and coordinate interdependencies across multiple projects to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
  • Develop and maintain project status reports, dashboards, scorecards, and governance materials for management review.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders across Head Office (Tokyo), EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
  • Support project governance activities, including steering committee meetings, status reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to project management standards, methodologies, and organizational governance requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining project documentation and ensuring transparency across project portfolios.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Project Manager, PMO, Project Coordinator, or related role within IT or technology organizations.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, including Risk Management, Issue Management, Dependency Management, Status Reporting, and Stakeholder Management.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English (written and spoken).
  • Background in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Experience using project management and reporting tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite.
